A special morning of programs at Temple Shalom for adults and children of all ages devoted to being a Jewish advocate, building bridges, repairing the world, and caring for ourselves

All ages welcome!

We have an incredible line-up of presenters and programs including:

Keynote and dialogue with Congressman Jamie Raskin (8th-adults)

Interactive theater program with District Community Playback on breaking down barriers (pre-k-2nd and 3rd-5th grade)

Story program on The Name Jar with Xani Pollakoff (pre-k-2nd)

Session with congregant Karen Miller on caring for children in challenging times (adults)

Music to Heal the World with Cantor Lisa (pre-k-2nd)

Session with congregant May Benatar on caring for ourselves in challenging times (8th grade-adults)

How to Write an Effective Op-Ed with congregant Todd Frankel (6th-8th grade)

Exploration of unconscious biases with Avi Edelman (6th-8th and 8th-12th grade)

Teen led learning by Operation Understanding DC (3rd-5th and 6th-8th grade)

An opportunity to learn about synagogue social justice efforts (8th grade-adults)

Babysitting (infants and toddlers--must register!)

(Tikkun Olam Day replaces Sunday School for all ages and grades on November 5)

The event is free, but please RSVP so we have enough bagels for everyone!
